The Butterfly – A Collaboration with Canuck Place Children’s Hospice

This collaboration with Canuck Place Children’s Hospice began as ongoing support for the annual Gift of Time Gala and evolved into a deeply meaningful project—bringing a child’s artwork to life as a hand-woven rug.

The Butterfly was painted by Brittany to honour her sister Kaitlyn, who receives care at Canuck Place. A symbol of sibling love, the butterfly is also recognized internationally as a symbol of hospice care, representing the journeys of families supported by Canuck Place.

Now a permanent part of both the Vancouver and Abbotsford hospices, the rug stands as a tribute to the children, families, and care teams at Canuck Place.
