Founded in 1907 by brothers Ed & Harvey Burritt, our family-owned enterprise has thrived for four generations.
Specializing in globally sourced wool rugs and carpets, we've left our mark on iconic landmarks like Hotel Vancouver, and The Orpheum Theatre.
Main Street — 1967 - 2016
Charlie Burritt’s son, Harvey, takes over in 1980 after Charlie’s too early passing. Harvey ensures that quality and customer service remain the hallmarks of the business.
Our collaboration with the Museum of Vancouver featuring “The Riot Rug” continues our love and affection for the city. Go Canucks Go!
Fraser Street — 2016 - 2026
Keith Donegani, Harvey’s son-in law joins the business in 2005 representing the 4th generation at Burritt Bros. Keith goes on to join Harvey as an owner in 2013.
In 2014 Burritt Bros. acquires Colin Campbell & Sons and in 2016 they move to their state-of the-art showroom and warehouse on Fraser St. To celebrate the move the Aerial ’48 rug was created showcasing South Vancouver as it was in 1948 and our new home for the business. The Fraser St. showroom and warehouse boasted the largest stock of wool carpet in Canada as well as a curated selection of area rugs, hardwood and luxury vinyl flooring.
Looking Ahead
Continuing our love for this city and our spirit of collaboration we proudly partnered in 2024 with the Squamish Nation teachers and weavers, Chepximiya Siyam’ Chief Janice George and Skwetsimeltxw Willard ‘Buddy’ Joseph on our rug collection Sacred Places: Threads of History.
