Sacred Places: Threads of History is a hand-knotted area rug collection featuring three original designs, created through a meaningful collaboration between Burritt Bros, accomplished Coast Salish weavers Chepximiya Siyam’ Chief Janice George and Skwetsimeltxw Willard Buddy Joseph of the Squamish Nation, and the Campaign for Wool Canada.
Inspired by culturally significant sites of the Squamish Nation and the ancestral stories they carry, each rug is woven with intention, respect, and care. The collection is hand-made using 100% Canadian wool, with yarn supplied by Briggs & Little Woolen Mills Ltd, Canada’s oldest woolen mill.
